The public is invited to join the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), Keep Arkansas Beautiful (KAB), Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, KAB Commissioner Courtney Little, Keep Little Rock Beautiful, Friends of Fourche Creek, and other community partners and volunteers for a litter cleanup at Benny Craig Park at Fourche Creek in Little Rock from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 2.

The event, located at 4610 Gum Springs Road, will begin with brief remarks from Director Wiley and Attorney General Griffin focused on litter prevention, clean water, and the shared responsibility of protecting Arkansas’ roadsides and waterways. Following the program, volunteers will work together to remove litter from Fourche Creek and the surrounding area.

Litter discarded along roadsides can be carried by wind and rain into storm drains, creeks, and other waterways. The Fourche Creek Cleanup event will highlight the connection between litter prevention and water quality while bringing state leaders, community partners, and volunteers together for hands-on service.
